The Tenth Amendment - Last in the Bill of Rights

So as we can see here the amendment spells it out in plain "olde" English, hahahah.  The fact that the United States government allowed through the use of the constitution the ability for the states the necessity to be able to govern themselves is a momumental event in the history of our country.  Coming from the English system of government the Framers wanted the ability for the states to retain power amongst themselves since the states were essentially a collection of citizens.  The federal government knew it had ultimate control over the ideas of government and law but it was up to the states in particular to administer these laws and shape society as they saw fit through laws of their own without worry of governmental intervention.

The Perfect Video Clip!!

How better to explain the current position of the government the economy and the state of the nation as a whole then to make a movie about it!!  Not only is this group of people making a movie about the downfalls of society today, they are linking the abilities of the government to try and counteract these problems with society to the constitution and to the tenth amendment!  Along with this is the revitalization of the "Dont Tread on Me" policy created by the anti federalists during the framing of the constitution.  WOW!!  Although this is just the trailer to the actual movie I am sure that the message conveyed will be one sided I am sure but the ability to link it not only to politics and personal views shared in the collective but to the constitution is just phenomenal, just like we are doing in this blog.  We are taking bits and pieces of news, video, etc and putting it into a perspective that will hopefully educate readers on the complexities of the constitution.

A More Newsworthy Example of the 10th Amendment

Here we see that over a year ago there are 28 different states telling the federal government that they are intruding WAY too much into the affairs of their respective populations and to take their hands off.  Although this is related to a variety of aspects such as economic controls, political changes etc, the people not only as the citizenry but as the politically elected are taking note.  This video speaks of Texas, but New Hampshire proposed a similar bill that is residing in the state government.  How is it that the government is trying to supercede the document which created it?  Its great that the people in several areas have taken not and are fighting back!
